Cllr Graham Lea

Councillor Graham Lea has been in farming all his life following in his father and grandfather's footsteps and has lived with his family at Lee Bridges Farm since 1963. He joined Ellesmere Rural Parish Council in February 1995 and has been elected to the Chair for two separate terms of office. Graham serves the Council as a politically independent member enabling him the personal freedom to make representations in the best interests of the community and parish environment. He believes in listening to opposing views on local concerns and his broad knowledge of the locality and personal contact with many of the parishioners, assists him in forming a balanced and fair opinion on local concerns to make informed representations on their behalf.


Cllr Laurence Weilding

Cllr Laurence Weilding

Cllr Laurence Weilding has lived in the parish for 14 years and has been a Parish Councillors for the Dudleston Ward for the past six years. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council and Chairman of the Planning Committee. He also serves on the Ellesmere Town Hall Management Committee. He is a retired saddler and lives at Bryn-y-Cochin with his wife, enjoying the quiet countryside where they look after their horses.

Cllr John Baker, a farmer who has resided at Eastwick Farm Eastwick all
his life and serves the Dudleston Ward.  He joined the Parish Council in
February 2005 and is a member of the Countryside and Rights of Way
and Crime and Disorder sub Committees.






Cllr Peter Broadbent

Cllr Peter Broadbent

Cllr Peter Broadbent joined Ellesmere Rural Parish Council in 2004 and serves the Dudleston Heath Ward.

He chairs the Countryside and Rights of Way sub-committee and is a member of both the Crime and Disorder and the Planning committees. He also represents the Parish Council on the Ellesmere Economic Forum.

Cllr Mrs Kay Egerton has lived nearly all her life in the area and has been farming with her husband and two children at Pentrecoed since 1995. As the third generation of farming here in this parish her interests are in maintaining the rural life, it's environment and it's history, here in this beautiful corner of Shropshire. Kay joined Ellesmere Rural Parish Council in May 1999 and represents the Parish Council on the North Shropshire Area Committee of Shropshire Association of Local Councils and also the Ellesmere Business Park Management Body.

I was born, have lived and worked all my life in Tetchill, and as a long standing councillor with many years of local knowledge and experience I bring these to our monthly Rural meetings to try to help all of our local community. I now live in Ellesmere but can be seen around the rural areas almost daily.


Cllr Steve Davenport

Cllr Steve Davenport (Vice-Chairman)

Cllr Steve Davenport has lived in Welsh Frankton since 1992 where he runs and owns a car dealership with his wife. He joined the Parish Council in March 2006 representing the Welsh Frankton Ward and then went on to become a District Councillor for North Shropshire. He was Chairman of Ellesmere Round Table in 1996 and more recently Honorary President. He is actively involved with the local village hall committee.





Cllr Ian Ward

Cllr Ian Ward

Cllr Ian Ward is 52 years old, married to wife Karen and has lived in Dudleston Heath for more than 23 years, worked in NHS Management for 26 years and also has extensive experience both of working with and for local councils, has served as a Councillor with Ellesmere Rural Parish Council since 1995 and served as its Chairman from 2001 to 2004. He has also served as a Councillor with Ellesmere Town Council from 1987 to 1991 and since 1999. He represents both Councils on the Shrewsbury Chester Rail Users Association.


Cllr Mrs Celia Wilde

Cllr Mrs Celia Wilde

Cllr Mrs Celia Wilde has been resident at Dudleston Heath since 1986 and joined Ellesmere Rural Parish Council in 1998. Her special interests are rural transport and local policing.

Her transport interest led to the foundation of the North Shropshire Rural Transport, which provides affordable accessible transport to individuals and groups in North Shropshire.

Cllr Mrs Pat Clubbe joined Ellesmere Rural Parish Council at the recent elections in May 2007. She represents the Dudleston Ward.
